Nyhavn Capital is the newest addition to the Sector family. The dedicated and consistent short team is managing its first SMA on Sector AM's platform.

The Nyhavn team is led by CIO Mads Thamsborg, who spent 20 years managing capital and investing in public markets, with full focus on the short book since 2015. The team is supported by Stephen Iklé who worked together with Mads for 9 years and has 28 years experience investing in equities, including as a partner and founder at multiple successful start-ups; and Oleg Pavlovskyy, who worked together with Mads for 7 years, with full focus on short positions across his career.

The short strategy combines in-depth forensic accounting and fundamental business analysis with deteriorating end markets, often structural challenges or financial instability. Forensic accounting is then used again in combination with key KPIs and behavioral factors to identify when these challenges are most likely to negatively affect financial results and market expectations.
